In the fall of 2008, there was a big fire outside the Chico area of California. many, many homes were lost. What we didn’t know until much later was that one of our pools actually saved our customers house.

Hey Simon, be sure to tell your boss your pool saved our house. Since we moved here, we have talked about getting a pool for our side yard. We looked at a lot of brands and options, but chose yours for several reasons - you are American-Made and you are a member of the Better Business Bureau. My husband and I ran a business for years and were also proud members. So we got the pool, filled it up and started building the deck for it. Then the fires broke out all around us. (Chico Fire June 2008). In this area, they happen from time to time, and we always prepare ourselves to evacuate if we need to. But my husband saw this huge reservoir of water outside our house and thought it might just do the trick. So he hooked up the garden hose to the pump and was able to draw enough water from the pool to keep a constant stream of water flowing on the house. When the order came to evacuate, we did. Two days later, we came back and the pool was drained, but the house was fine. Fire fighters said that embers were flying throughout the area, and caused some damage around us - but our house did just fine." James and Janice
