The McAllister’s have a beautiful home on the side of a hill in southwest New Mexico. Built on a the top of the hill, their house takes advantage of some amazing and sweeping views and natural landscape. But when they decided to add a pool, they quickly discovered the downside of being on a hill. The contractor told them that every year the pool’s water weight will cause the ground to shift, cracking the pool and costing thousands of dollars a year to re-plaster. The Michael and Helen determined to not give up, went to the world wide web. They found us and started brain-storming on how to make it work. By building a retaining wall around the pool, lining it up to the house’s deck, then covering it with flagstone, they quickly made their dream a reality.
