An EZ Pool is designed tough, but against acts of nature? Well, even a concrete bunker can be torn apart. With the Martin family, they had an unexpected hurricane that blew through their area causing a 1000 pound tree to be dropped right on top of their EZ Pool. It completely destroyed their pump and filter, but cause zero damage to the pool. Now that’s tough!

12’ x 22’ EZ Pool

Yes, I have been very happy with the pool. The strength of the liner is incredible. I have actually buried ours into the ground with only about 18" of it above the ground. When I first set up the pool my wife was concerned that she wouldn't be able to see the kids swimming unless she was right next to the pool. She wanted it gone. Too scary for her. So we compromised on lowering it into the ground. I also created a platform made out of PVC and docking deck material that has almost no water absorption. That is one of the reasons I say that this liner is so strong. That has been on the bottom of the pool so that little non swimming kids could have a shallow end to hang out in. The liner doesn't even have marks from it.

The reason I needed to order a new skimmer is because we had a huge maple tree fall on the pool last fall during a storm and broke it. Everyone (but me) thought the pool was going to be totaled. You couldn't see one end of it. As they cut the tree away we found the sand filter crushed, the motor bent, my salt water generator smashed, and the skimmer  broken. The frame of the pool and the liner were fine. Strong stuff.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend EZ Pools to anyone. The one thing I would recommend (and what I wish I would have done in the beginning) is to poor a slab of concrete or something to keep it from filling uneven. The ground is just to unpredictable.

Thanks,

Steve
