2012 May pool first open, my 6 year old getting in the pool first time for the 2012 season.  Water temperature around 25C - heat by solar heating system. Water is crystal clear back then.  Unfortunately, the last week or so, the water is all murky and I got algae situated with a little chlorine floater you gave me. Picture 2011 Dec 13 - big chunk of ice on the side of pool - after the rain and it got cold - interesting block of ice.  We did not have much snow last season. 2011 September closing the pool - using air mattresses and tie- downs to allow the rain and snow to roll off. Did my own Solar heater using rolled up black garden hose on the pallet you shipped the pool on. The solar heating system that I rigged up is able to heat the pool up to 29 C today :-) =============================== Back to the pool stuff: At additional cost, I have upgraded the filter pump to a 1 hp. version when I order my pool last year.  My experience using this equipment is that overall, they work pretty well for a novice pool owner. So far the pool has gone through a rough summer with my boys and their friends and survived. Then survived a relatively mild winter where it never really froze completely solid (but did get a lot of snow though). And then now it has fully thawed out (with the help of my solar heater) very fast for another summer of use and abuse by the boys and their friends. Very happy. Enjoy the pictures.
