Mr. Brown had a choice, he could have bought the Costco cheapo pool from China or spend a little more money for one made here in America. He elected to buy an EZ Pool, his neighbor went with the Costco pool from China. They both got their pools about the same time (right before July 4th weekend), and both got them up in about the same amount of time. The Costco pool was bigger and less money. But, the EZ Pool had better ladder, better pump and filter, and a better warranty (5 years compared to only 90 days for the Chinese pool). To hear Mr. Brown tell it, after three months of frustration, the neighbor took his pool down and returned it for a full refund from Costco.

I have to admit, at first I thought we had been screwed. But when I saw his ladder and filtering system, I knew I had the better deal. The following week he was having all kinds of problems with the filter - no matter what he tried, my neighbor could not get it to be clean. Then he found out his cartridge was paper (whereas ours is polyester) and he flipped. His kids spent more time in our pool than their own pool. He finally took it back.
